GDA Pak-China Friendship Hospital Marks International Nurses & Midwifery Week with Enthusiasm

GWADAR: The Nursing Department of GDA Pak-China Friendship Hospital managed Indus Hospital & Health Network organized a vibrant and meaningful event to commemorate International Nurses & Midwifery Week, recognizing the dedication, compassion, and invaluable contributions of nurses toward patient care and healthcare services.

The ceremony commenced with the recitation of the Holy Quran, while the stage responsibilities were efficiently conducted by nursing staff member Gangozar. Addressing the gathering, Manager Nursing Services, Saima Ali Shah highlighted the vital role of nurses in society and acknowledged their sacrifices and commitment. She stated that nurses are among the most valuable assets of the healthcare system, tirelessly serving patients day and night to save lives and provide compassionate care.

Speaking on the occasion, Head of Campus, Dr. Affan Faiq Zada praised the dedication and responsibilities of nurses, describing nursing as a noble profession. He emphasized that nurses are not merely assistants to doctors but are the backbone of patient care and play a crucial role in the recovery and wellbeing of patients. He paid tribute to nurses for their selfless services to humanity.

As part of the week long celebrations, several training and awareness sessions were organized focusing on modern medical skills, compassionate patient care, empowerment, and mental and physical wellbeing of nurses. These sessions aimed to strengthen the professional capabilities and confidence of nursing staff.

A poster competition was also arranged during the celebrations, where nurses creatively presented nursing related themes through sketches, artwork, and informative posters. Participants demonstrating outstanding performance in the competition were awarded prizes, while certificates were distributed among nursing staff who actively participated throughout the week.

At the conclusion of the event, Clinical Nurse Instructor, Zahid Emanuel thanked all participants and stated that the selfless services of nurses can never be forgotten. He remarked that the occasion serves as a reminder that nursing is not merely a profession, but a noble mission dedicated to the service of humanity.
