Every day, patients across Pakistan rely on safe blood transfusions for life-saving treatment and care. However, gaps in the blood banking system and the common practice of replacement donations often mean that families must arrange blood for patients themselves. This can lead to delays in treatment and shortages of readily available blood types, putting countless lives at risk and, in some cases, resulting in the loss of lives.

Regular voluntary blood donation helps ensure that safe blood is readily available before emergencies arise. By donating blood willingly and consistently, healthy individuals can help maintain a reliable blood supply for patients in urgent need and contribute towards saving countless lives.

To address the ongoing challenges of voluntary blood donations, the Indus Hospital and Health Network has launched a nationwide initiative called Indus Zindagi. This initiative aims to promote voluntary blood donations across the country and seeks to address the critical shortage of blood in medical facilities across Pakistan by fostering a culture of voluntary blood donation.
