Less than 30% of the country’s health sector allocations are directed towards primary care and over 42% of Pakistanis fail to receive basic health facilities. Indus’ high-quality nationwide primary care network is helping address this catastrophe.

Though Pakistan has a relatively large primary healthcare infrastructure, there is limited integration of these across the health system. Many people are also reluctant to visit primary care centers due to the poor quality of services; in Pishin, 43% women and 51% men had not approached Basic Health Units for seeking primary healthcare. IHHN’s nationwide primary care network uses hospital-based, stand-alone facilities,  mobile medical buses, Pakistan’s first boat clinic, and telehealth clinics to reach Pakistani communities with free of cost, high quality services.
