Under the guidance of Dr. Aslam Shah, Chief of Pharmacy Services, and Dr. Arif Ali Arain, Senior Manager & Head of Pharmacy Services – Karachi, we provide DRAP-registered medicines and surgical disposables. These are carefully selected in consultation with end users and approved by our Campus & Network Pharmacy and Therapeutics (P&T) Committee.

Services Offered:

  • In-patient Pharmacy Services: Provides pharmaceutical care to hospitalized patients through four specialized substations (Adult, Pediatrics, Chemotherapy, and Daycare), reviewing medications via a computerized system and intervening digitally to prevent errors.
  • Ambulatory Pharmacy Services:
    • ED Pharmacies: Supports emergency resuscitation and other critical cases while disseminating drug and device information to healthcare teams.
    • OPD Pharmacy: Serves over 7,000 outpatients monthly across specialized clinics, educating patients on medication usage.
    • TB Pharmacy: Dispenses ATT drugs and ensures compliance through specially designed cartridges to promote therapeutic success.
  • Sterile Compounding Pharmacy Services: Prepares ready-to-administer IV medications under USP Chapter 797 standards, reducing nursing workload and saving costs.
  • Chemotherapy Compounding Pharmacy Services: Adheres to USP Chapter 800 standards, ensuring safe preparation and administration of chemotherapeutic drugs with designated staff and biosafety chambers.
  • Non-Sterile Compounding Pharmacy Services: Produces customized medications such as syrups, gels, and drops for pediatric and adult patients as per specific needs.
  • Pharmacotherapy Services:
    • Clinical Pharmacy Services: Features board-certified specialists who provide patient-focused care, clinical rounds, medication reviews, counseling, and training.
    • Drug & Poison Information Centre: Offers reliable drug and poison information to healthcare professionals nationwide.
  • Clinical Trials Pharmacy Services: Provides logistical and analytical support for clinical trials to ensure effective outcomes.
  • Community Pharmacy Services: Ensures timely dispensing and counseling of quality medications in remote areas under controlled conditions.
