A Lifeline for Diabetics: Rashidan’s Story at The Indus Hospital

Rashidan was living a normal life in Thatta, Sindh when an accident shattered her world. She had broken her leg and her body was not healing properly. Rashidan’s brother suggested that she go to The Indus Hospital in Korangi, Karachi for treatment. He had previously visited the hospital for his own cardiac bypass surgery and had been impressed by the quality of services hence, he spoke highly of the hospital’s services for leg and bone injuries. Rashidan decided to take his advice.

Rashidan’s first visit to the IHHN was a life-changing experience for her. The hospital’s state-of-the-art facilities, dedicated staff, and patient-centered approach to healthcare free of cost were unlike anything she had experienced before.

At The Indus Hospital, the doctors provided Rashidan with the necessary treatment and set her leg. During her treatment, they discovered that she had type 2 diabetes, which was causing slow healing in her body. Since then, Rashidan has been regularly visiting The Indus Hospital for check-ups and treatment every two months. She meets with a nephrologist, receives insulin supplies, and undergoes other necessary operations required to cure her of her disease.

The IHHN’s commitment to providing quality healthcare has made a difference in the lives of many like Rashidan. The hospital’s focus on patients  has helped patients manage their conditions effectively and improve their overall health and well-being. Rashidan’s story serves as an inspiration to others living with diabetes to take control of their health and seek care from dedicated healthcare providers such as the IHHN.
