RTEH Observes World Patient Safety Day with Engaging Awareness Activities
The Quality Monitoring Directorate (QMD) Recep Tayyip Erdogan Hospital Muzaffargarh recently observed World Patient Safety Day with a series of impactful events aimed at raising awareness about patient safety and patients’ rights. Throughout the week, the dedicated QMD team, consisting of Ms. Saman Zahra and Faiza Kanwal, visited hospital wards and OPDs to educate patients about their rights, ensuring they were well-informed about the care they are entitled to receive.
As part of the week’s activities, a walk was organized, during which Dr. Sheraz Hassan, Faculty Chair of the hospital, remarked, “While our patients receive excellent care, it is important that they are informed of their rights. Ensuring that patients are aware of their rights fosters a more empathetic and respectful environment, where their well-being is at the forefront of everything we do.”
In addition to these sessions, a painting activity was organized for pediatric patients. This creative initiative not only added a touch of color to the hospital environment but also helped young patients feel more comfortable, contributing to a positive and healing atmosphere.
The QMD team’s efforts during World Patient Safety Week reflect RTEH’s commitment to creating a patient-centered, safe, and supportive environment, where the rights and care of patients are of paramount importance.
