Provincial Health Minister Visits Recep Tayyip Erdogan Hospital Muzaffargarh, Appreciates Performance and Training Initiatives

Provincial Health Minister Khawaja Salman Rafique visited Recep Tayyip Erdogan Hospital Muzaffargarh, where he was given a detailed briefing on the performance of various departments.

During the visit, the minister toured different wards and units of the hospital, reviewing the medical facilities being provided to patients, the availability of modern equipment, and overall administrative arrangements.

The health minister appreciated the hospital’s overall performance, cleanliness, and the services of the medical staff, expressing satisfaction over the standards being maintained. He stated that the government is committed to ensuring the provision of quality healthcare services to the public and that improving the health sector remains a top priority.

The provincial minister also praised the hospital’s training programs, including NRP, BLS, CMEs, and other capacity-building initiatives. He noted that the hospital is not only delivering excellence in patient care but is also playing a vital role in skill development and capacity building of healthcare institutions across South Punjab, which is highly commendable.

He appreciated the hospital’s recent services in the field of surgical oncology and assured full support for the formal launch of pediatric oncology services.

During the briefing, it was also shared that the hospital is conducting various medical activities through international collaborations. These include programs with the Islamic Relief USA “APNNA” for high cost vascular and cardiac procedures absolutely free, as well as partnership with “GODA”, USA, under which costly procedures like knee replacement and spine surgeries are being performed completely free of charge.

The Health Minister, along with the Health Secretary, commended the hospital management for these initiatives and assured full governmental support to further strengthen and expand such programs.
