World Nursing Day 2023 Celebrations at RTEH and MIKD

World Nursing Day 2023, was celebrated at Recep Tayyip Erdogan Hospital (RTEH), Muzaffargarh, and Multan Institute of Kidney Disease, Multan, in line with the global theme “Our Nurses. Our Future.”

World Nursing Day is a global campaign that sets out how nursing in the future should address global health challenges and improve global health for everyone. The aim of the celebrations was to highlight the importance of nursing services in the health sector.

Recep Tayyip Erdogan Hospital, Muzaffargarh

The celebrations at Recep Tayyip Erdogan Hospital (RTEH), Muzaffargarh were well-attended by the hospital’s doctors, nurses, and allied staff. Also present were Dr. Shiraz Hasan Bhutta, Faculty Chair; Waqar Ahmed, Head of Operations; Yasmin Siraj , Manager, Nursing; and Muhammad Umar Khan, Deputy Manager, HR.

During the event, the hospital’s nursing staff reiterated their pledge by lighting candles.  Addressing the ceremony, Dr. Shiraz Hassan appreciated the hospital’s Nursing Services Department and said that the nursing department is undoubtedly the backbone of the hospital. The professional services of nurses cannot be neglected.

Mr. Waqar Ahmed followed by saying it would be more appropriate to call nursing services nursing care services because nursing care is one of the most important pillars of the hospital. The nursing department has a special importance in fulfilling the vision and mission of Indus Hospital.

Mr. Muhammad Umar Khan said that the demand for professionals in the field of nursing is increasing day by day, and it is the professional training & conscientious performance of the nursing staff in our hospital sets them apart from other institutions.

Multan Institute of Kidney Disease, Multan

At Multan Institute of Kidney Diseases (MIKD) Muhammad Fayyaz, the Nursing Manager, and his Nursing Department celebrated the event along with the hospital’s staff.

Addressing the audience, Dr. Ali Imran Zaidi, Head of Campus, said that if doctors are considered the mind of a hospital, then the nursing department is the heart. Doctors and nursing services departments are inseparable from each other. He paid tribute to the nursing services department and said that the males and females associated with the nursing services have an irreplacable role in health facilities.
