Professor Faridah Amin Awarded in WONCA conference 2023 -Sydney

Prof. Faridah Amin, Director of IHHN’s Academic Directorate and Principal of the Indus College of Family Medicine and Public Health, received the Montegut Award during the WONCA 2023 World Conference in Sydney, Australia, presented by The American Board of Family Physicians. The theme for this year’s conference was ‘Recovery, reconnection and revival. A celebration of primary care.’

The award recognized her outstanding contributions to primary care capacity building, positively impacting the patients and communities she serves. In addition, Prof. Amin delivered a presentation on the Scope and Challenges of Family Medicine Training in South Asian countries. Furthermore, she engaged in collaborative discussions with the RACGP board to enhance capacity building for Family Medicine in both Countries.
