Indus Hospital & Health Network Signs MoU with Al Ghazali University and GUTech to Advance Healthcare Innovation

Indus Hospital & Health Network (IHHN) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Al Ghazali University and Ghazali University School of Technology (GUTech) to strengthen collaboration in the fields of artificial intelligence (AI), machine learning, mobile application development, and data science for socially impactful healthcare solutions.

The partnership aims to bring together cutting-edge technological expertise and real-world healthcare insights to develop, test, and implement innovative digital solutions that can enhance the delivery of healthcare services across Pakistan.

Key Areas of Collaboration
Under the MoU, Al Ghazali University (AGU) will:

  • Provide technical expertise in AI, machine learning, mobile application development, and data science.
  • Host and manage the project at its Innovation and Incubation Center, which is committed to developing socially driven tech innovations.
  • Facilitate capacity-building programs and training workshops for researchers, medical students, and healthcare professionals.

Indus Hospital & Health Network (IHHN) will:

  • Offer clinical insights, healthcare data, and real-world challenges to support solution design and validation.
  • Enable access to healthcare practitioners and patients for system testing and user feedback.
  • Collaborate on joint research publications and funding proposals.

Speaking at the signing ceremony, Dr. Syed Zafar Zaidi, CEO of IHHN, emphasized the importance of technology in revolutionizing patient care. “Through this partnership, we aim to harness the power of data and innovation to address some of the most pressing healthcare challenges in our country,” he stated.

Professor Dr. Rauf Ahmed Shams Malick, Chairman of the Department of Computer Science and Director of the Innovation and Incubation Center at AGU, highlighted the significance of this collaboration: “This partnership reflects our commitment to developing technology for social good, particularly in healthcare, where innovation can save lives.”

The MoU marks a strategic step toward bridging the gap between healthcare delivery and technological innovation, aligning with IHHN’s mission to provide accessible, quality healthcare to all, free of cost.
