IHHN Celebrates Pakistan’s 78th Independence Day Across Its Network

Indus Hospital & Health Network (IHHN) celebrated Pakistan’s 78th Independence Day with a series of spirited activities across its facilities in Karachi, Lahore, Muzaffargarh, Multan, Gwadar, and Badin.

The celebrations commenced on August 14 with flag hoisting ceremonies and guard of honour parades. At IHHN’s Korangi Campus in Karachi, CEO Dr. Syed Zafar Zaidi, Executive Director, Physical Rehabilitation Directorate, Dr. Muhammad Amin Chinoy, and Medical Director, Korangi Campus, Dr. Ashar Alam, along with senior faculty members, participated in the ceremony. At the Lahore Campus, CEO, IHHN North, Dr. Shafeeq Haider, Executive Director, CRD, Tariq Azam, and Dr. Tasman Ibn-e-Rasa attended the flag hoisting event.

In the days following August 14, the patriotic spirit continued with cake-cutting ceremonies, quizzes, games, video competitions, and vibrant green-and-white decorations at hospital premises. Independence Day festivities were also held in the Pediatric Oncology Unit, Karachi, jointly organized by I-Inspire Ambassador Faryal Kamran and the Psychosocial Department of IHHN. The young cancer warriors, dressed in national colours, sang patriotic songs and gave heartfelt performances, filling the unit with joy and pride.

At IHHN’s Clinical Laboratories, celebrations were held on August 14 with staff, faculty, and guests joining together in a spirit of unity and national pride. The event, attended by senior leadership including Dr. Saba Jamal, Dr. Adnan Zuberi, and Dr. Nazia Khursheed, featured the national anthem, patriotic songs, and a cake-cutting ceremony.

As part of its sustainability commitment, IHHN organized tree plantation drives at multiple locations, focusing on shade and fruit-bearing trees to promote greener hospital environments and community well-being.

These celebrations across the IHHN network served as a joyful expression of unity, pride, and commitment — honouring Pakistan’s independence and reaffirming the organization’s mission to serve with compassion and dedication.
