Driving innovation – IHHN aligns strategy with research excellence
As part of its commitment to academic excellence Publication & Communication Sub-Committee SRC, in collaboration with the Office of Research, Innovation & Commercialization (ORIC) organized a workshop aligned with IHHN’s 2024–2027 Strategic Research Plan, which aims to embed research into all facets of healthcare delivery and education through development of departmental research strategic plans.
Led by Dr. Muhammad Babar (Consultant, Research Strategy, IHHN, and Director, Strategic Development & Implementation Faculty at the Institute of Business & Health Management, DUHS), the event was graced by the presence of IHHN’s senior leadership—Prof. Syed Zafar Zaidi, Dr. Muhammad Shamvil Ashraf, and Dr. Muhammad Amin Chinoy.
Held across two days, the workshop witnessed robust participation from clinical and administrative departments across IHHN, with over 70 attendees. Participants were encouraged to integrate research as a core component of their services. Guided SWOT and TOWS analyses, followed by a focus on OKRs and KPIs, enabled departmental heads to realign their identities and objectives with the broader institutional vision.
With the support of ORIC and a unified institutional strategy, IHHN is well-positioned to drive meaningful advancements in healthcare research at both regional and international levels.
