Indus Yaqeen Youth Volunteers Raise Funds for Pediatric Cancer Patients Through Bake Sale

Karachi: Indus Yaqeen, the youth empowerment program of Indus Hospital & Health Network (IHHN), organized a successful three-day Bake Sale at Dolmen Mall Clifton, Karachi, from September 4 to 6, 2026, bringing together more than 113 student volunteers to raise funds for pediatric cancer patients at IHHN.

The fundraiser attracted a large number of supporters who purchased a variety of homemade treats and savory items, including brownies, cupcakes, dessert cups, sandwiches, pizzas, macarons, pasta, and more. Every purchase contributed to supporting children receiving cancer treatment through IHHN while also helping raise awareness about the Network’s humanitarian mission.

The young volunteers played an active role in the success of the initiative. They engaged with mall visitors, encouraged them to support the Bake Sale, and shared information about IHHN’s mission and its efforts to provide quality healthcare to children in need. Their enthusiasm and commitment helped create a strong sense of community around the cause.

More than 100 students from schools and educational institutions across Karachi participated in the initiative. The participating institutions included DHACSS College for Women, Haque Academy, BVS Parsi High School, Building Blocks School, Dawood Public School, Alpha College, DHACSS Seaview, Reflections, The Indus Academy, Froebel Education Centre, Education Bay School,Cedar DHA and PECHS Campus, CAS, Bay View High School Heritage and Clifton campus, FPS, The Ivy School and World Academy,

Aligned with the mission of Indus Yaqeen, the Bake Sale went beyond fundraising by providing young people with an opportunity to contribute their time, skills, and resources to a meaningful cause. Through their participation, the volunteers experienced firsthand how collective action and community engagement can create a positive impact in the lives of children and families in need.

The initiative reflected the spirit of Indus Yaqeen by empowering youth to become active contributors to their communities while supporting IHHN’s commitment to providing free, quality healthcare to those who need it most.
