The iHope Volunteer Program is a 5-day transformative experience for students aged 14-18, launched in 2014 as part of the Indus Yaqeen (IY) initiative. It equips young volunteers with life-saving skills like CPR, First Aid, and fire safety, while also fostering interpersonal skills such as empathy and communication. The program provides an immersive understanding of healthcare challenges and empowers youth to become leaders in emergency response, building the confidence and compassion to act in critical situations.
Originally started as the iHope sessions in 2014, the program has grown into a popular initiative in Lahore and Karachi. With 29 sessions held and over 3,000 volunteers trained, iHope continues to inspire service and empathy in the next generation.
The iHope Volunteer Program was founded with a simple yet powerful vision: to empower young people with the skills and knowledge to make a tangible difference in their communities. Our objectives include:
Offering practical, hands-on training in CPR, First Aid, and fire safety, equipping youth with essential skills to handle emergency situations confidently.
Inspiring young volunteers to understand the perspectives of healthcare professionals, patients, and families, while encouraging leadership with compassion and empathy.
Expanding the reach of the iHope program to more cities, ensuring that our mission extends to every part of Pakistan and beyond, uniting communities in support.
