Art with a Heart 2026 – She Lives in Bloom
The Indus Hospital & Health Network (IHHN) marked another meaningful milestone with the fifth edition of Art with a Heart, an inspiring exhibition dedicated to the strength and imagination of pediatric cancer patients. Held on April 19, 2026, the event once again reflected how creativity can become a powerful companion in a child’s healing journey.
Hosted by our i-Inspire Ambassadors, Ms Ayesha Adnan, Ms Sara Chapra, the theme of the exhibition “She Lives in Bloom” was dedicated to Aqsa’s unfinished painting – that was completed by Dr Sama Mukhtar, Consultant Emergency Services, IHHN. Aqsa, last year exhibited her work and worked on many new paintings with an aspiration to showcase her story at this year’s exhibition. Unfortunately, while expressing her resilience and courage through art she lost her battle to cancer leaving behind an unfinished painting with a wish that if someone could finish her painting for the exhibition and proceeds from the sale of her work to be dedicated for many other children fighting cancer at Indus Hospital.
The exhibition including Aqsa’s She Lives in Bloom painting showcased 95 paintings made by 11 talented young warriors including Sidra tul Muntaha, Misbah, Maryum Khan, Aroosa, Faiqa, Aliyyaan, Hania Khurram, Hadia, Anoosha, Hafsa, and Manahil. The young artists started their journey to produce the paintings in August 2025. In the period of more than 6 months these children were guided and assisted by renowned artists, design and art students and other passionate volunteers to beautifully capture emotions of resilience, hope, and determination. Every piece reflected not just artistic skill, but also the courage these children carry throughout their treatment.
At IHHN, we believe healing goes beyond medical treatment. Initiatives like art therapy play an important role in supporting the emotional and psychological well-being of our patients, giving them a voice beyond words. Art with a Heart has now become a platform of hope, expression and encouragement for our young patients.
