GDA Pak-China Friendship Hospital, Gwadar Celebrates International Nurses Day 2025

In honor of International Nurses Day 2025, the Nursing Department of GDA Pak-China Friendship Hospital, managed by Indus Hospital & Health Network (IHHN), organized a heartfelt ceremony to recognize the dedication, compassion, and invaluable contributions of nurses to patient care and the healthcare system.

The event commenced with the recitation of the Holy Quran, followed by an inspiring address by Dr. Affan Faiq Zada, Head of Campus, who appreciated the pivotal role nurses play in patient healing. “Nurses not only treat physical ailments but also comfort the emotional distress of patients. Their service is a sacred passion rooted in humanity,” he noted.

Saima Ali Shah, Deputy Manager Nursing Services, highlighted the critical role of nurses in the healthcare system. “Nurses are the backbone of patient care. Their empathy and commitment make a significant difference in recovery outcomes. Days like these help us recommit to our purpose of serving with dedication,” she said.

Throughout the week, the Nursing Department conducted several engaging and educational activities, including workshops, poster competitions, and a ceremony on May 5th marking International Midwifery Day, reflecting a holistic appreciation for both nursing and midwifery professionals.

The main ceremony concluded with a candlelight tribute and a collective pledge by all nurses to continue serving patients with honesty, dedication, and compassion. Certificates of appreciation were awarded to outstanding nursing staff and trainees in recognition of their exemplary service. The celebration concluded with a joyful cake-cutting ceremony, fostering a spirit of unity and gratitude.

This event reaffirmed IHHN’s commitment to strengthening the nursing profession and highlighted the critical role nurses play in advancing healthcare delivery across Pakistan.
