Multiple entries from the same participant will not be entertained.
Videos can be in English, Urdu or any local language.
However, all videos must have English or Urdu subtitles.
Submit your entry via the IHHN Website (Pixels: 1080p).
Your video can be animated, entertaining, educational, inspiring, or anything in between.
The video can include solely sounds of duff, humming, nature, and the environment.
The competition will be judged by impartial jury.
How to Participate:
Create an original video based on a story or experience based in Pakistan.
Submit the video via the IHHN website, Indus Zindagi page.
We will review for authenticity and relevance of the content with the competition themes.
We will upload your content on our Indus Zindagi competition pages if it meets the initial evaluation requirements.
The participant will be tagged using the social media handles provided.
Video Structure and Duration:
The video must have an end slide with credits including the name of participant(s).
Required dimension for Tiktok 1080 by 1920 px.
Submit your video in vertical and horizontal dimensions to meet multiple social media platforms’ requirements.
Participants are free to create the video in any language, including English, Urdu, or any of Pakistan’s local languages. However, they must add subtitles in either English or Urdu to the video.
Copyrights:
All rights to the films/videos made as part of the project will be shared with the organizers of the competition, ‘Indus Zindagi’, and a disclaimer stating so must be added to all videos received for this contest.
The videos will not be used for any commercial purposes.
The participants will have complete rights to show and exhibit their videos on any platform after the competition is over.
Stills and Images:
Participants may use still photographs. If any photographs are sourced from a third party, the source should be mentioned on the credit list.
Additional images, graphics, or material used to enhance the film should be royalty-free content.
All Creative Commons material must be credited.
Special Effects:
Animation and special effects are allowed.
Audio and Music:
Participants must only use royalty-free music /original background score for the film to avoid any copyright issues.
Judging Criteria:
The videos will be judged on the originality of the content, the uniqueness of ideas, and the implementation/incorporation of the themes in the concept.
The videos do not need to follow or be shot on professional-grade equipment, however, that would also be allowed depending upon the participant’s preference, however, the content of the videos should be clearly visible and audible.
The style of the videos may be inspired by guerrilla filmmaking, where unique styles may be used to incorporate your ideas into making a film/video.
Please ensure the audio is completely audible and the video has no visibility issues.
The formats should follow Facebook and TikTok upload requirements; MOV or MP4 formats will be acceptable.
The minimum video quality may be at 1080p.
The decision of the judges will be considered final.
