At sixteen, Mansoor lived life at full speed. He loved riding his motorcycle through the streets, feeling invincible in the way only young boys do. But in 2011, one ride ended in a terrible accident that injured him from his neck down to his stomach. It was the kind of accident that could have changed everything, but Mansoor was young, strong, and determined. He recovered, got married, and built a beautiful life with his wife and five children. For a while, it seemed like the worst was behind him. Until the past slowly caught up.

Mansoor began struggling to breathe, at first just a little… then a little more. He brushed it aside, telling himself it was nothing, especially since he had no money for treatment. Days turned into years, twelve of them, and the quiet breathlessness grew into something he could no longer ignore. Then one day in 2023, breathing became a battle. A close friend saw the fear in Mansoor’s eyes and didn’t waste a moment. Together, they began a six-hour journey to Karachi, hopeful that the Indus Hospital might be the lifeline they needed. And it was.

The moment Mansoor arrived, the medical team understood the urgency. They admitted him immediately, performed surgery, and cared for him with a gentleness he hadn’t expected. After surgery, he was shifted to the adult ward for recovery, safe, supported, and finally able to breathe again.

With a smile that revealed the boy still inside him, Mansoor called his treatment “VIP.” To him, it wasn’t just medical care, it was dignity, kindness, and a second chance at life. Today, he returns home to his family with a grateful heart, carrying a renewed breath and a deep prayer for the hospital that saved him.
