A Mother’s Miracle: How Indus Saved Tiny Ahmed’s Life

A Mother’s Prayers Answered

Sonia Bibi had always believed that a mother’s love could heal anything. But no matter how much she prayed, held her son close, or whispered reassurances, Ahmed’s pain wouldn’t go away. His tiny chest rose and fell with effort, each breath a battle.

Desperate about their sons’ condition, Sonia and her husband had explored every option available to them, from private clinics to government hospitals, even the renowned child specialist in Multan. Every option came at great costs, leaving them financially strained. While the journey was long and exhausting, they left their other children with relatives, and sacrificed workdays, but the days passed, and Ahmed’s condition remained unchanged.

Hope had begun to fade, replaced by the kind of helplessness that only a parent watching their child suffer can understand. Still, they prayed. Prayed for a miracle, for a sign, for something anything that could save their son.

Then one afternoon, during a family visit, someone mentioned the Saffia Sharif Container Clinic. Sonia and her husband desperate about their son’s condition went there, not expecting much, just holding on to a fragile thread of faith.

But this time, something was different. The doctor at the clinic didn’t just hand them another prescription or tell them to wait. He listened. He understood their fear. And he knew exactly what to do.

Ahmed was referred to Recep Tayyip Erdogan Hospital (RTEH), where the doctors discovered the truth water in his lungs. It was serious. But this time, help had come in time. A draining procedure was performed at RTEH, and for the first time in what felt like forever, Ahmed could breathe easier.

Now, he is recovering smiling, playing, and sleeping peacefully. Sonia and her husband look at him and feel something they had almost forgotten relief. And gratitude. Gratitude for the Community Engagement Centre (CEC) Team, the donors, and Indus Hospital, who turned their prayers into reality. Because when hope seemed lost, Indus came as help and changed their lives forever.
