“Rahay Khayal – Ye Waqt, Waqt Ki Baat Hai”: Indus Hospital Launches Ramazan Campaign 2026 Emphasizing the Urgency of Care

Indus Hospital & Health Network (IHHN) launched its Ramazan Campaign 2026 under the moving theme “Rahay Khayal – Ye Waqt, Waqt Ki Baat Hai”, a powerful reminder that time does not wait — especially for those battling illness.

Held at IHHN’s flagship hospital in Korangi, Karachi, the launch ceremony brought together senior leadership, philanthropists, corporate partners, media representatives, and young volunteers from various schools, united by a shared purpose: to ensure that no patient is denied care simply because they cannot afford it.

This year’s campaign centers on a simple but urgent truth: time is of the essence. It slips by quietly, and we often realize its value only when it is gone. For patients in need of treatment, surgery, or emergency care, waiting is not an option. “Rahay Khayal” is both a message and a call to action — to remain mindful, because this moment will not return.

In his welcome address, Abdul Karim Paracha, Chairman, Indus Hospital & Health Network, reflected on the spirit of Ramazan as a time for compassion and responsibility. He emphasized that circumstances can change for anyone — “Ye Waqt, Waqt Ki Baat Hai” — and that collective generosity ensures that patients receive timely, lifesaving care when they need it most.

Mr. Salim Razak Tabani, Chairman, Resource Generation Committee, reaffirmed IHHN’s mission of equitable healthcare and thanked supporters from all walks of life. He noted that during Ramazan, when the opportunity to give carries even greater meaning, timely contributions can directly translate into saved lives and restored hope.
A detailed presentation by Syed Mashhood Rizvi, Executive Director, Communication & Resource Development, highlighted the growing scale and national impact of IHHN’s services. He shared that IHHN now operates:
• 13 hospitals
• 4 regional blood centers
• 3 physical rehabilitation centers
• Over 100 primary care centers
• Multiple public health initiatives
• Indus University of Health Sciences
• Indus Research Center

He stressed that rising healthcare costs push over 400,000 families below the poverty line each year, often forcing them to choose between treatment and survival. In this environment, IHHN serves as a lifeline. Every month, more than 500,000 patients receive completely free treatment, with approximately 70% supported through Zakat funds.
Linking back to the campaign’s theme, Mr. Rizvi emphasized that delays in care can mean the difference between life and loss — making timely donor support critical. For many families, the difference between despair and relief is simply whether help arrives in time, reinforcing that Ramazan is the moment to act.

A video message from Dr. Abdul Bari Khan, President, IHHN, was also shared with the audience. He thanked Media, donors and supporters whose trust has transformed Indus Hospital into a national healthcare network and appealed for continued support, particularly during challenging economic times.

The ceremony concluded with an impactful dua by Hafiz Amir, Chairman, Shariah Advisory and Zakat Committee, IHHN, praying for the success of the campaign and for healing, relief, and ease for patients across Pakistan — a fitting end to an event that reminded everyone to Rahay Khayal, because Ye Waqt, Waqt Ki Baat Hai.
