Indus Hospital Jubilee Town Hosts First-Ever “Clubfoot Sy Jeet ka Jashan” under the Flagship “Pehla Qadam” Program

Indus Hospital, Jubilee Town, Lahore, hosted its first-ever “Clubfoot Sy Jeet ka Jashan” under the “Pehla Qadam” program on February 12, celebrating children who successfully completed their four-year clubfoot treatment journey at the hospital.

The celebration was supported by Cheezious and Bachaa Party, who contributed goodie bags and gifts for the children. The event brought together families, doctors, and hospital leadership in a heartfelt gathering that reflected resilience, determination, and the joy of restored mobility.

More than 30 children who had completed their treatment attended the event with their families, many now able to walk and run with confidence—a powerful testament to what timely intervention, expert care, and community support can achieve.

Prof. Abu Bakar Siddiq, Consultant Orthopedic Surgeon at Doctors Hospital, attended as the chief guest and praised the hospital’s efforts in restoring mobility and dignity to young patients.

Welcoming attendees, Dr. Tehseen Riaz, Head of Orthopedics, welcomed the guests and spoke about the importance of treating clubfoot at early age so children can grow up to live normal lives.

Addressing the audience, Dr. Mohammad Amin Chinoy, Executive Director, Physical Rehabilitation Directorate – IHHN, presented key statistics on clubfoot in Pakistan and highlighted the success of the “Pehla Qadam” program in treating the condition nationwide.

The medical team whose dedication and expertise made these success stories possible was also acknowledged during the ceremony. The celebration featured a lively puppet and magic show, adding joy and excitement to the occasion for the children and their families.

The ceremony concluded with remarks by Dr. Shafique Haider, CEO – IHHN North, who reaffirmed the organization’s commitment to expanding access to free, quality healthcare—ensuring every child gets the chance to take their first confident step.
