Padel for a Cause: A Successful Tournament Supporting Pediatric Cancer Treatment at IHHN

Karachi: The Friends of Indus Hospital Karachi (FOIH-K), a voluntary group of women ambassadors, organized a three-day Padel Tournament aimed at raising funds for the treatment of pediatric oncology patients. The event witnessed participation from 64 teams across five categories, making it a remarkable blend of sportsmanship, community involvement, and compassion. Indus Hospital & Health Network is grateful to FOIH-K for organizing this fantastic initiative and for their continuous support in promoting free-of-cost treatment for children.

More than just a sports event, the tournament served as a platform to raise awareness and show solidarity with children fighting cancer. IHHN Celebrity Ambassadors — Momal Sheikh, Sarwat Gilani, and Bilal Ashraf — attended the tournament to support this noble cause. They met pediatric cancer patients and encouraged the public to donate generously, ensuring free-of-cost treatment for these children.

Funds generated through the tournament will directly support chemotherapy sessions for young cancer patients. Each match helped cover the cost of two chemotherapy sessions, offering hope, strength, and a healthier future for these young patients.

During the event, Salim Razak Tabani, Member, Board of Directors and Chairman, Resource Generation Committee, IHHN, said:
“Every child at Indus Hospital is like our own. Let’s join hands to help them heal and live healthy lives.”

Mr. Tariq Shafi, Member, Board of Directors, IHHN, was present at the closing ceremony, while Dr. Muhammad Shamvil Ashraf, Executive Director Medical Services, IHHN, attended the opening ceremony. They appreciated the dedication of all participants, supporters, and volunteers, highlighting the importance of such initiatives in supporting free-of-cost treatment at IHHN.
