Successful Workshop: Foot and Ankle Deformities in Neuromuscular Disorders, Concluded at Recep Tayyip Erdogan Hospital, Muzaffargarh.

The Orthopaedics Department of Recep Tayyip Erdogan Hospital (RTEH), Muzaffargarh, recently hosted a comprehensive two-day workshop focusing on “Foot and Ankle Deformities in Neuromuscular Disorders.” The workshop, which featured esteemed faculty members and attracted participants from across Pakistan, concluded successfully with a series of engaging sessions and live surgeries. The workshop’s faculty included prominent figures Professor Dr. Naeem Ahmad, Professor Dr. Ijaz Ahmad, Dr. Muhammad Saad Ilyas, Dr. Haroon Ahmad Khan, and Dr. Umair Ahmad.

Participants benefitted from presentations, lectures, live case discussions, and direct interaction sessions, providing valuable insights into the management of foot and ankle deformities associated with neuromuscular disorders. Over the course of the event, a total of 7 surgeries were performed, showcasing advanced techniques and best practices in orthopaedic care. Patients from far-reaching areas such as Balouchistan, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KPK), and both South and North Punjab, and Kashmir traveled to the hospital to seek treatment.

Dr. Gauhar Nawaz Khan, speaking on behalf of RTEH, expressed gratitude to the guest faculty, hospital administration, and RTEH’s faculty for organizing this impactful workshop.  He also pledged to continue hosting similar educational events in the future to further benefit patients and medical professionals alike.

The workshop not only served as a platform for knowledge exchange and skill enhancement but also facilitated networking opportunities among healthcare professionals dedicated to improving orthopaedic care in Pakistan.
