Indus Hospital & Health Network Celebrates World Pharmacist Day

On September 25th, 2023: Indus Hospital & Health Network joined the global Celebration of World Pharmacist Day, themed “Pharmacists Strengthening Health Systems”. Esteemed healthcare professionals, including Dr. Ashar Alam, Medical Director, IHHN Korangi Campus, and Dr. Muhammad Amin Chinoy, Executive Director, Physical Rehabilitation Directorate, IHHN & Chairman of the Formulary Committee, participated in the event alongside consultants from various faculties.

The day featured heartfelt video messages from faculty members, nursing managers, general managers, nursing staff, and patients, all expressing deep appreciation for pharmacists’ pivotal role in healthcare. On this Special day, pharmacists received well-deserved recognition for their remarkable contributions to the field of healthcare. Shields and certificates were presented to pharmacists and technicians as a gesture of gratitude, highlighting their exceptional dedication and expertise in their field. Outstanding staff members were honored with shields as a token of gratitude.

Dr. Ashar Alam, Medical Director, emphasized the evolving role of pharmacists, highlighting their active involvement in medical rounds, dedication to patient safety, and contributions to cost savings through rational drug use.

The celebration concluded with a joyous cake-cutting ceremony, symbolizing unity among healthcare professionals in their quest for enhanced patient care and health system strengthening.
