“Dr. Sikandar Ali Mandhro Civil Hospital Badin” Commemorated in Renaming Ceremony

Badin, Sindh: 

A commemorative ceremony took place today at the IHHN-managed Badin Hospital, marking the renaming of “Civil Hospital Badin” to “Dr. Sikandar Ali Mandhro Civil Hospital Badin.” Distinguished guests from the Sindh Government and Indus Hospital and Health Network (IHHN) graced the occasion, celebrating the fruitful partnership that has enabled the delivery of free-of-cost quality care to the people of Sindh and beyond.

The event’s chief guest, Dr. Khalida Sikandar Mandhro, a Member of Pakistan Peoples Party Parliamentarian, inaugurated the renaming of the hospital. During the ceremony, she paid tribute to the late Dr. Sikandar Mandhro, her husband and former health minister of Sindh, who handed over the management of Civil Hospital, Badin, to IHHN in 2016 under a public-private partnership with the Sindh Government. Dr. Mandhro’s efforts enabled the delivery of seven years of exceptional healthcare service, aligned with IHHN’s commitment to serving excellence in healthcare for all, for the pleasure of the Almighty (SWT).

Also present at the ceremony were several notable figures, including district health officers from Badin, Dr. Abdul Bari Khan, President of IHHN, Dr. Syed Zafar Zaidi, CEO of IHHN, Dr. Akhlaque Ahmed, Head of Campus at Civil Hospital, Badin, and Fawad Bin Rashid, Manager of Media Relations at IHHN.

Following the inaugural proceedings, the guests embarked on a tour of the hospital campus, gaining insights into the various facilities available to patients. They visited the gynecology ward, pediatric ward, emergency department, and the hospital blood bank, which provides safe and quality blood to patients in need. Additionally, they observed the laboratory services, a vital component of the hospital’s comprehensive care offerings.

Dr. Khalida Sikandar Mandhro expressed her gratitude and appreciation for the unwavering dedication of IHHN and the Government of Sindh in safeguarding the health of all needy patients. The renaming of “Civil Hospital Badin” to “Dr. Sikandar Ali Mandhro Civil Hospital Badin” is a testament to the enduring legacy of a man whose vision and determination have positively impacted countless lives. With this transformation, the hospital aims to further solidify its position as a beacon of hope and healing for its community.
