Strengthening Critical Care: MICU & HDU Services Relocated to New Building at Indus University Hospital Karachi

Continuing its phased transition to the newly constructed facility, MICU and HDU services at Indus University Hospital Karachi have been successfully relocated to the new hospital building.

The relocation includes the complete transfer of Medical Intensive Care Units (MICUs) and High Dependency Units (HDUs), ensuring uninterrupted critical care services for patients. This move marks a key milestone in strengthening the hospital’s capacity to deliver high-quality, specialized care in a modern and patient-friendly environment.

A dua ceremony was held on the occasion, seeking blessings for the new facility, as well as for the patients and healthcare teams it will serve.

Senior leadership present at the occasion included Dr. Abdul Bari Khan, President, IHHN, Dr. Farah Bari Khan, GM Clinical Operations, Dr. Ashar Alam, Medical Director, Indus University Hospital, Dr. Arshad Taqi, Medical Director, Jubilee Town Campus, Lahore, and Dr. Shafiq Haider, CEO North, along with members of the Medicine Department and clinical teams.

The new facility offers enhanced infrastructure, increased clinical capacity, and improved workflow, enabling healthcare professionals to deliver more efficient and compassionate care. The transition was carefully executed to ensure seamless continuity of services without disruption.

This relocation is part of IHHN’s broader expansion strategy, gradually shifting key departments to the new building, further strengthening its ability to serve a growing number of patients with quality healthcare services, free of cost.
