Indus Yaqeen i-Hope Volunteer Program: Nurturing Compassionate Future Leaders

Indus Hospital & Health Network  successfully concluded the Indus Yaqeen – iHope Volunteer Program (Summer Batch II) at its Jubilee Town Campus, Lahore. The two-week program welcomed enthusiastic students from top schools across Lahore, eager to explore the fields of healthcare, volunteerism, and social responsibility.

The Volunteer provided students with an immersive experience within the hospital setting, exposing them to real-world healthcare operations and the challenges faced by underserved communities. The program was designed to empower youth through learning, engagement, and service, aligning with IHHN’s mission of delivering free, quality healthcare to all, without any discrimination.

Each day of the program followed a carefully curated agenda, including:

  • Orientation & Hospital Tour to understand the hospital’s ecosystem
  • Interactive Sessions with healthcare professionals across various departments
  • Hands-on Learning through Basic Life Support (BLS), Mental Health, Stress &Time Management and Fire Safety Trainings
  • Career Counseling & Presentation Skills trainings, external Master Trainers engaged with the students to develop their professional and interpersonal skills, also guided them through their career choices
  • Feedback And Poster Making Competition that encouraged participants to reflect on their creativity through art
  • Field Exposure through patient interaction and volunteer engagement

The students had the opportunity to meet and interact with senior medical professionals, department heads, and the hospital’s executive leadership. Their active participation, thoughtful reflections, and willingness to serve highlighted the success of the program in nurturing compassionate, socially aware individuals.

The program concluded with a heartfelt appreciation ceremony, where certificates were distributed, and students shared their learnings and personal growth stories

The i-Hope Volunteer Program is part of the Indus Yaqeen Youth Engagement Initiative, which continues to inspire and involve young changemakers in creating a healthier and progressive Pakistan.
