IHHN Advances Emergency Care with International Trauma Training Program
Indus Hospital & Health Network recently hosted the Collaborative Advanced Trauma Course, an intensive three-day training program conducted by the Emergency Medicine Department in partnership with Grady Memorial Hospital and Emory University School of Medicine.
This hands-on training brought together interprofessional trauma teams, including specialists from emergency, surgery, and nursing to strengthen their trauma care skills and coordination. Key highlights of the course included Point-of-Care Ultrasound training, team-based simulation megacodes, and Mass Casualty Incident simulations. These activities were designed to test and enhance the teams’ preparedness, decision-making, and collaboration in high-pressure emergency scenarios.
The course concluded with a certificate distribution ceremony, celebrating the successful completion of the program by all participants. This collaborative initiative represents a significant step in advancing trauma care standards at IHHN and equipping healthcare professionals with the knowledge and skills to deliver rapid, life-saving interventions.
