Indus Hospital & Health Network Engages Business Community at RCCI Healthcare Awareness Session

Rawalpindi: Indus Hospital & Health Network (IHHN), in collaboration with the Rawalpindi Chamber of Commerce and Industry (RCCI), organized a healthcare awareness session at the Chamber House to engage the business community on the importance of accessible, high quality healthcare and the role of philanthropy in strengthening Pakistan’s health system.

The session featured Dr. Abdul Bari Khan, President & CEO of Indus Hospital & Health Network, who was warmly received by RCCI President Usman Shaukat. He was accompanied by Dr. Mah Talat, Executive Director, Community Health Directorate, IHHN. The event was attended by Senior Vice President Khalid Farooq Qazi, Vice President Fahad Barlas, former RCCI presidents, Executive Committee members, and a large gathering of chamber members.

Welcoming the participants, Usman Shaukat praised Indus Hospital & Health Network for its outstanding humanitarian services and unwavering commitment to providing free, quality healthcare across Pakistan. He commended the organization’s patient centric model and emphasized the importance of raising awareness about healthcare services within the business community and encouraging greater collaboration to support public health initiatives.

Addressing the audience, Dr. Abdul Bari Khan reflected on the generosity and compassion of the Pakistani people, stating that the way the nation unites to help those in need during times of crisis is truly unparalleled. He noted that this spirit of collective giving has been instrumental in enabling Indus Hospital & Health Network to deliver free healthcare to millions of patients every year.

Sharing the network’s continued growth, Dr. Abdul Bari Khan highlighted that IHHN now provides free, quality healthcare to nearly six million patients annually. He also shared that the Karachi Campus is rapidly expanding and will soon become a state of the art 1,350-bed tertiary care hospital, while the 300-bed Indus Hospital, Jubilee Town, Lahore, is already providing comprehensive healthcare services to patients from across the region.

Participants were also briefed on IHHN’s nationwide healthcare services, community outreach initiatives, and ongoing efforts to expand access to quality medical care. The session concluded with an interactive discussion, where attendees appreciated the organization’s mission and reaffirmed the importance of partnerships between the healthcare sector and the business community in improving health outcomes for all Pakistanis.
