IHHN Launches Shuttle Service with 8-Seater Golf Carts for Patient Convenience

In a bid to enhance patient and attendant accessibility to the newly expanded Indus Hospital, Korangi Campus, the Indus Hospital & Health Network (IHHN) has introduced two 8-seater golf carts as shuttle vehicles within its campus. This thoughtful addition aims to facilitate the safe and comfortable transfer of walking patients and their attendants between various departments and the new hospital building.

The service was formally inaugurated by Dr. Syed Zafar Zaidi, CEO, IHHN, in the presence of senior leadership including Dr. Muhammad Shamwil Ashraf, Executive Director, Medical Services; Dr. Ashar Alam, Medical Director, Korangi Campus; Mazhar Ahmed Siddiqui, Chief Operating Officer – South Region; and Dr. Farah Bari, GM Operations and Head of Campus, Sheikh Saeed Memorial Hospital.

Speaking on the occasion, Dr. Zafar Zaidi shared, “As we expand our facilities, it’s equally important to improve the overall patient experience. This shuttle service is one of many steps towards that goal—ensuring dignified, seamless access for every individual who walks through our doors.”

The battery-operated carts reflect IHHN’s commitment to sustainable, patient-centered care, and will operate throughout the day across designated pick-and-drop points on the hospital premises.

With over a million patients expected to benefit from the expanded hospital annually, the introduction of this shuttle system marks another milestone in IHHN’s journey toward compassionate, inclusive healthcare.
