IHHN Hosts Strategic Research Planning Workshop to Advance Institutional Research Goals

In a significant step toward advancing its research agenda, the Indus Hospital & Health Network (IHHN) held a high-impact workshop on strategic research planning, organized by the Publication Communication sub-committee of IHHN’s Scientific Research Committee and the Office of Research, Innovation & Commercialisation (ORIC) at Indus University of Health Sciences (IUHS).

Facilitated by Dr. Muhammad Babar of Dow University of Health Sciences, the workshop brought together IHHN leadership—including Dr. Syed Zafar Zaidi ( CEO – IHHN and Dean IUHS), Dr. Muhammad Shamvil Ashraf, Executive Director of Medical Services IHHN, and Dr. Muhammad Amin Chinoy, Executive Director, Physical Rehabilitation Directorate.—and representatives from clinical and administrative departments. Participants engaged in SWOT and TOWS analyses to align departmental goals with IHHN’s institutional research priorities and 2024–2027 Strategic Research Plan.

The session emphasized research as a core function of all departments, encouraging the development of clear objectives, purpose-driven planning, and measurable performance indicators to propel the departments toward innovation, collaboration, and scholarly excellence. With ORIC’s support and a shared institutional vision, IHHN is poised to make a profound impact on healthcare research, both regionally and internationally.
