House of Habib’s Generous Support Expands Outpatient Services at Indus University Hospital

In a remarkable demonstration of corporate philanthropy, House of Habib has funded the construction of the Family & Community Health Consulting Clinics at the Indus University Hospital in Korangi, Karachi, with a generous pledge of PKR 300 million. These clinics are now fully operational. This contribution marks a significant milestone in the Indus Hospital & Health Network’s (IHHN) ongoing mission to provide free, high-quality healthcare to underserved communities across Pakistan.

A Vision of Accessible Healthcare
With the need for outpatient care in Pakistan expected to grow by 5.31% between 2024 and 2029, House of Habib has taken a step forward in addressing the country’s expanding healthcare demands.

The House of Habib Family & Community Health Consulting Clinics will dramatically enhance the capacity for outpatient care. These clinics are expected to serve 500,000 patients annually, and include:
● 11 Family Medicine Clinics
● 3 Pulmonology Clinics
● 3 Rheumatology Clinics
● 2 Diabetes and Endocrinology Clinics
● 3 Infectious Diseases Clinics

At the inauguration ceremony, Mr. Mohamedali R. Habib, Chairman of House of Habib & HABIBMETRO, Group CEO of Habib Bank AG Zurich, expressed his admiration for IHHN’s groundbreaking work. ” What we have witnessed today is nothing short of extraordinary. The event was attended by Mr. Muhammad H. Habib, President of Habib Bank AG Zurich and other distinguished representatives from House of Habib, Habib Bank AG Zurich, HABIBMETRO and Indus Hospital & Health Network. The program began with a warm welcome from IHHN’s leadership, including Dr. Abdul Bari Khan, President; Dr. Syed Zafar Zaidi, CEO; Mr. Salim Razzak Tabani, Chairman of the Resource Generation Committee; Mr. Abdul Karim Paracha, Chairman of the Board of Directors; Mr. Siddiq Shaikh, Member of the General Body; and Mr. Syed Mashhood Rizvi, Executive Director of Communication & Resource Development Directorate. Guests were then given a guided tour of the newly constructed hospital’s advanced infrastructure.
