RTEH Muzaffargarh Promotes Hand Hygiene as First Line of Defence Against Infections

MUZAFFARGARH: Recep Tayyip Erdogan Hospital (RTEH) Muzaffargarh organized a hand hygiene awareness event to highlight the critical role of proper hand hygiene in preventing infections and promoting a safer and healthier environment for patients, attendants, and healthcare workers.

The awareness activity focused on educating participants about effective hand hygiene practices and the importance of maintaining proper handwashing routines. Hospital staff also conducted practical demonstrations of the complete handwashing process, enabling participants to understand and adopt the correct technique in their daily lives.

Head of Campus Dr. Irfan Javed, Medical Director Dr. Shiraz Hassan, and other hospital staff participated in the awareness activity and emphasized the importance of collective efforts to strengthen infection prevention practices within healthcare settings.

Speaking on the occasion, Dr. Irfan Javed, Head of Campus, said, “Hand hygiene is the first principle of good health. By practicing proper hand hygiene, we can protect ourselves and others from various diseases and infections.”

The event reaffirmed RTEH Muzaffargarh’s commitment to fostering a culture of cleanliness, patient safety, and infection prevention.
