Global Handwashing Day Awareness Event at Recep Tayyip Erdogan Hospital, Muzaffargarh

Recep Tayyip Erdogan Hospital, Muzaffargarh, recently marked Global Handwashing Day with an awareness event aimed at promoting the importance of proper hand hygiene. The event was attended by several key figures, including Dr. Shiraz Hassan, Medical Director of the hospital; Dr. Rashid Kamal, Head of the Infection Control Department; Usama Riaz, Manager of Administration; Dr. Asif Yasin and Dr. Khizar Abbas, Consultants; and Zeshan Tayyib, DM Maintenance, along with other support staff.

Infection Control Practitioners Mashkoor Hussain, Sidra, and Aqsa conducted educational sessions on effective handwashing techniques. These sessions demonstrated the correct way to wash hands to prevent the spread of infections, underscoring the role of hand hygiene in safeguarding against various illnesses.

Dr. Shiraz Hassan highlighted the importance of cleanliness, stating, “Proper handwashing can protect us from various diseases. Cleanliness is half of our faith, as our religion encourages cleanliness, which brings countless benefits.”
