Clean Hands, Safe Care: IHHN Celebrates Global Hand Hygiene Day 2025
The Department of Infection Control and Housekeeping at Indus Hospital & Health Network (IHHN) observed Global Hand Hygiene Day on October 23, 2025, reaffirming IHHN’s ongoing commitment to infection prevention, patient safety, and global hygiene standards.
The event featured a range of awareness and engagement activities designed to remind healthcare workers and staff about the critical role of hand hygiene in preventing hospital-acquired infections. Interactive stalls, live demonstrations, and educational displays encouraged participants to adopt proper handwashing techniques and understand the “5 Moments for Hand Hygiene” recommended by the World Health Organization (WHO).
Staff members enthusiastically participated in activities emphasizing that clean hands save lives and are one of the simplest yet most effective ways to protect patients and healthcare teams.
Through this initiative, IHHN continues to foster a culture of cleanliness, accountability, and care, ensuring that infection prevention remains a shared responsibility across the Network.
At IHHN, every action toward hand hygiene reflects a larger mission — to deliver safe, quality, and compassionate care to every patient, every day.
