Corporate Teams Unite for a Cause at IHHN’s 5th Corporate Cricket Championship 2025

The Indus Hospital & Health Network (IHHN) successfully hosted the 5th Corporate Cricket Championship 2025 in Karachi — the opening leg of a five-city fundraising series. Meezan Bank emerged as champions after a commanding 10-wicket victory over HabibMetro Bank in the final. The tournament brought together leading corporate teams in support of IHHN’s Emergency services.

The championship kicked off on October 4, 2025, as part of IHHN’s ongoing campaign to raise funds for its life-saving Emergency services. The event aimed to strengthen partnerships between the healthcare sector and the corporate community through meaningful CSR engagement. Featuring a six-over tape-ball knockout format, the matches provided fast-paced, entertaining cricket for both players and spectators. Geo Super served as the official media partner for the 5th Corporate Cricket Championship 2025, further amplifying the event’s reach and impact.

Corporate teams that participated in the Karachi leg included Meezan Bank, Shan Foods, HabibMetro Bank, Adamjee Textiles, Rajby Textiles, Dubai Islamic Bank, GRG Sharks, Nelson Paints, Tata Pakistan, Dream Tex, Indus Hospital, and spur Solutions. The final match saw Meezan Bank defeat HabibMetro Bank by 10 wickets, concluding the tournament on a high note and showcasing how sport can unite people for a noble cause.

The core purpose of the tournament was to mobilize funds for IHHN’s Emergency services, which provide free, high-quality, and timely care to thousands of underprivileged and critically ill patients every year. The Emergency Department at Indus Hospital’s Korangi campus treats over 100,000 patients annually, serving a catchment population of more than 2.5 million people. Meanwhile, the OPD continues to deliver free consultations and treatment to thousands of patients daily. All proceeds from the Karachi leg will be directed to these services, ensuring that every patient receives compassionate, life-saving care regardless of financial status.

“We are humbled by the overwhelming support from the corporate sector. Events like this demonstrate how partnership and purpose can come together to save lives,” said the President of Indus Hospital & Health Network. “The funds raised will directly strengthen our Emergency services and help us continue providing free care to the most vulnerable.” A representative from Meezan Bank added, “We are proud to stand with IHHN. This victory is for a cause — supporting healthcare access for those who need it most.”

The event witnessed active participation from corporate leaders, sponsors, and media partners, whose collaboration was instrumental in the tournament’s success. IHHN extends heartfelt thanks to all teams, volunteers, and partners for their continued commitment to strengthening healthcare through CSR. The Corporate Cricket Championship will continue across four more cities — Lahore, Islamabad, Multan, and Faisalabad — with each leg raising funds for IHHN’s Emergency services. IHHN looks forward to continued corporate participation and community engagement in the upcoming events.
