Breathing Hope: I Heal CF Medication Handover Ceremony
In a heartfelt effort to bring comfort and healing to children living with cystic fibrosis (CF), Indus Hospital & Health Network (IHHN) organized a Medication Handover Ceremony under the I Heal CF program at the Indus Hospital, Karachi.
Led by Dr Muhammad Fareeduddin, Head of the Pediatric Department and the Program Lead for I Heal CF, the event marked the distribution of life-saving CF medication to more than 50 children, reaffirming IHHN’s unwavering commitment to their health and well-being.
The ceremony was graced by Dr. Abdul Bari Khan, Founding President IHHN, and Dr. Farah Bari Khan, both of whom expressed deep appreciation for the initiative. Addressing the attendees, Dr. Abdul Bari Khan emphasized the life-changing impact of these medications, stating, “This support will allow these children to breathe easier, live better, and look forward to a healthier future.”
During the event, Dr Muhammad Fareeduddin provided an insightful overview of cystic fibrosis, highlighting the role of timely medical intervention and ongoing care. He explained how the specific medication provided through this initiative can significantly improve patients’ quality of life and overall prognosis.
A vital part of the program was the involvement of IHHN’s Psychosocial Support Team, who offered counseling and emotional support to both children and their families, ensuring a holistic approach to care.
The I Heal CF initiative continues to be a beacon of hope for families affected by cystic fibrosis, underscoring IHHN’s mission to provide compassionate, quality care to all, free of cost.
