Indus Hospital Celebrates First Graduates of Pediatric Oncology Pharmacy Course

The Indus Hospital & Health Network (IHHN) hosted the virtual graduation ceremony for the inaugural session of the Basics of Pediatric Oncology-Pharmacy (BPO-Pharmacy) Course on May 22, 2025. This milestone event brought together participants, faculty members, and leadership to honor the successful completion of the course and the collective efforts that made it possible.

The ceremony opened with a warm welcome by Dr. Hebah Mushtaque, setting the tone for an inspiring and reflective gathering. Senior faculty members, including Mr. Arif Ali Arain, Senior Manager and Head of Department, Pharmacy, and Dr. Aslam Shah, Chief of Pharmacy Services, shared thoughtful insights on the participants’ journey and the significance of the course in advancing pediatric oncology pharmacy practices.

Adding to the celebratory spirit, Dr. Muhammad Shamvil Ashraf, Executive Medical Director, IHHN, delivered a motivational address, appreciating the dedication of the course facilitators and the enthusiasm of the participants. His remarks highlighted the importance of continued learning in specialized areas like pediatric oncology.

One of the most engaging moments of the ceremony was the participant feedback session, held both in person and virtually via Zoom. Graduates reflected on how the course had strengthened their knowledge base, improved clinical confidence, and prepared them for more effective pharmacy practice in pediatric oncology settings.

The event concluded with closing remarks by Dr. Syed Ahmer Hamid, Consultant Pediatric Hematology and Oncology, who acknowledged the collaborative spirit that fueled the success of this training initiative.
