Provincial Health Minister of Balochistan Visits Indus Hospital & Health Network, Karachi

In a continued effort to strengthen healthcare collaboration, Bakht Muhammad Kakar, the Provincial Health Minister of Balochistan, visited the Indus Hospital & Health Network (IHHN) in Karachi. He was accompanied by Mujeeb-ur-Rehman, Secretary Health Balochistan. The delegation was warmly welcomed by Dr. Zafar Zaidi, Chief Executive Officer IHHN, along with Dr. Mah Talat, Executive Director Community Health Directorate, and Dr. Hiba Ashraf Director Primary Care Program.

During his visit, he toured various sections of the hospital, including the Adult Wards, Operating Rooms, Surgical ICUs, Family Medicine Clinics, Consultant Clinics, Tele-Emergency, Emergency Wards, and the Blood Centre. He also visited the newly constructed hospital building and received a detailed briefing on IHHN’s ambitious expansion plans.

Health Minister emphasized the importance of learning from IHHN’s experience to uplift the healthcare infrastructure in Balochistan. He acknowledged the ongoing Public-Private Partnerships between IHHN and the Balochistan government in districts such as Gwadar and Quetta, and highlighted the need to deepen this collaboration.

Dr. Zafar Zaidi, along with his team, reaffirmed IHHN’s commitment to supporting healthcare in Balochistan, offering full assistance in hospital management, capacity building, and the extension of telemedicine and mobile health services across the province.
