Indus Yaqeen Hosts Bakesale Fundraiser Appreciation Ceremony
Indus Yaqeen, a youth engagement initiative of the IHHN, organized an Appreciation Ceremony for its young volunteers and participants of Indus Yaqeen’s Annual Bakesale.
The Bakesale held at Dolmen Mall, Clifton, Karachi, from September 22 to 24, 2023 was a huge success, sale proceeds from the event will sponsor 125 chemotherapy sessions for child cancer patients. 140 students from 11 educational institutions of Karachi, participated in the Annual Bakesale Fundraiser.
IIHHN Ambassadors, Behroz Sabzwari, Adeel Hussain and Sania Saeed also marked their presence at the Bakesale to express their commitment towards Indus’ mission of providing quality and free-of-cost treatment to children battling cancer.
The Appreciation Ceremony had young volunteers and their parents in attendance. Dr. Abdul Bari Khan, President Indus Hospital & Health Network, shared IHHN’s history with the attendees and its mission of providing easily accessible, free-of-cost quality health care to the underserved population of the country.
Mr. Mashhood Rizvi, Executive Director, Communications & Resource Development Directorate at IHHN, briefed attendees on Indus’ strategic vision of expanding its network across Pakistan. He also appreciated the young volunteers for contributing towards a cause with their valuable time and resources.
The event concluded with Dr. Abdul Bari Khan distributing certificates among the Bake Sale volunteers and participants, commending their devotion and commitment towards the cause of treatment of children battling cancer.
