Fostering a Culture of Respect and Responsibility: Dr. Sikandar Ali Memon Leads Session on Work Ethics at IHHN Badin Campus
The Indus Hospital & Health Network (IHHN) remains committed to nurturing a values-driven culture across its campuses. In line with this mission, Dr. Sikandar Ali Memon, Head of Badin Campus, recently conducted a comprehensive session on professional ethics, moral values, and workplace responsibility.
The session was attended by staff from various departments, including Clinical and Non‑Clinical Leads, Managers, Deputy and Assistant Managers, Senior Officers, Supervisors, and Nursing Leads.
Dr. Memon emphasized the importance of punctuality and full-duty hour attendance, highlighting that being on time is not just a rule but a reflection of respect—for patients, colleagues, and one’s responsibilities. “Being punctual is not just a rule—it shows your respect for others and your own responsibility,” he stated.
A core focus of the session was compassionate patient interaction. Dr. Memon urged staff to treat every patient with kindness, respect, and honesty. “How we treat our patients reflects the values we stand for,” he noted, underscoring the role of clear and empathetic communication in building patient trust.
He also stressed the importance of maintaining a professional appearance, reminding staff to wear clean, well-ironed, and appropriate uniforms. “A professional appearance adds credibility to our services,” he shared, linking it directly to patient confidence and institutional image.
The session concluded with a reminder that each staff member’s conduct contributes to the hospital’s overall reputation. Honest actions, respectful behavior, and a polished appearance together reinforce IHHN’s commitment to excellence and dignity in care.
Attendees appreciated the timely session, calling it both motivational and practical. Many reflected that small changes in daily conduct—such as punctuality and respectful communication—can create a meaningful impact on workplace harmony and patient satisfaction.
