Aga Khan University Hospital Delegation Visits Indus Hospital’s QF-NST-SMP Campus

On September 26, 2024, a distinguished delegation from Aga Khan University Hospital (AKUH) visited the Indus Hospital QF-NST-SMP Campus, marking a significant step towards exploring potential collaborations between the two leading healthcare institutions in Pakistan.

The AKUH delegation included Dr. Sulaiman Shahabuddin, President of AKUH, Dr. Farhat Abbas, CEO of AKUH, Mr. Nadeem Mustafa Khan, Advisor to the President, and Ms. Zahra Somani, Chief Advancement Officer. During their visit, they were given a detailed tour of the hospital’s world-class facilities and services, underscoring the Indus Hospital and Health Network’s (IHHN) commitment to providing high-quality healthcare, free of cost, to millions across Pakistan.

The tour was followed by a presentation led by Dr. Shafeeq Haider, COO-North, who shared insights into IHHN’s operational model, growth, and future ambitions. The presentation highlighted the hospital’s impressive milestones and its dedication to serving patients regardless of their ability to pay.

After the tour and presentation, members of the AKUH delegation expressed their admiration for IHHN’s achievements. Dr. Sulaiman Shahabuddin noted that there are clear opportunities for collaboration between AKUH and IHHN, recognizing the potential to work together in advancing healthcare in the country. He also lauded the visionary efforts of IHHN’s founders, donors, and management for turning the Indus dream into a reality and emphasized the importance of building on this foundation for future cooperation between both organizations.

The visit concluded on a positive note, with both institutions agreeing to explore joint initiatives aimed at improving healthcare access and innovation in Pakistan.
