Momentum Builds in the Capital — IHHN’s Corporate Cricket Championship Islamabad Leg 2025

After Lahore’s energetic round, Indus Hospital & Health Network (IHHN) carried the spirit of competition and compassion to the nation’s capital with the Islamabad leg of its 5th Corporate Cricket Championship 2025, held on 18^th and 19^th October.

Continuing under the powerful theme “Head or Tails, Making Sure No Life Fails,” the championship once again transformed the cricket field into a space where every run scored and wicket taken symbolized a contribution toward saving lives.

Eight spirited teams — Meezan Bank, OGDCL, ECS, House of Ideas, Samba Bank, Evamp & Saanga, Cheezious, and Team IHHN — came together for two days of action-packed six-over tape-ball matches. The tournament saw remarkable displays of skill, teamwork, and heart, as corporate players stepped up not just for victory, but for a cause that transcends the boundary line: free, quality healthcare for all.

Day 1 of the matches ended with high energy and close finishes, setting the stage for intense semi-finals on Day 2. OGDCL defeated Evamp & Saanga, while Cheezious triumphed over House of Ideas, securing their spots in the much-anticipated final.

On Day 2, the grand finale between OGDCL and Cheezious was a fitting climax. After an exhilarating match, OGDCL emerged as the Champion of the Islamabad Leg, with Cheezious earning the Runner-Up position for their outstanding performance and sportsmanship.

Speaking at the closing ceremony, Mr. Tariq Azam, Executive Director, CRD North – IHHN, shared, “Islamabad brought its unique energy to the field — competitive yet compassionate. Every team that participated played their part in ensuring that our Emergency Services can continue saving lives across Pakistan.”

Funds raised from the tournament will directly strengthen IHHN’s Emergency Services, enabling thousands of critically ill and underprivileged patients to receive free, life-saving medical care.

With Karachi, Lahore, and Islamabad leg complete, the championship’s momentum moves forward to Multan and Faisalabad, carrying with it a growing wave of unity, purpose, and unwavering belief in healthcare without boundaries and care without cost.
