Building Bridges Through Healthcare: IHHN Hosts First Media Meet & Greet at GDA Pak-China Friendship Hospital Gwadar

Gwadar: Indus Hospital & Health Network (IHHN), through its Communications & Resource Development (CRD) Media & PR team, hosted its first-ever Media Meet & Greet at GDA Pak-China Friendship Hospital, Gwadar, bringing together local journalists, media representatives, and influencers to acknowledge their continued support in highlighting the Network’s efforts towards transforming healthcare access in the region.

The event served as a platform to strengthen engagement with the local media community and recognize their vital role in creating awareness about the quality healthcare services and facilities being provided to the people of Gwadar and surrounding areas through the partnership between Gwadar Development Authority (GDA) and IHHN. The hospital is managed by IHHN as part of its commitment to providing free-of-cost, quality healthcare services to underserved communities.

The session was led by the CRD Media & PR team and was attended by Senior Manager, Media & PR, Fawad Bin Rashid; Abdullah, Senior Officer, Media & PR, CRD Gwadar; Dr. Nasir Sheikh, Head of Campus, GDA Pak-China Friendship Hospital; Dr. Zafar Ullah, Faculty Head, GDA Pak-China Friendship Hospital; along with senior members of the hospital leadership and teams.

Addressing the gathering, the IHHN representatives appreciated the contribution of media professionals in amplifying healthcare stories from Gwadar and creating greater public awareness about the hospital’s services, milestones, and impact. The team highlighted that the media plays a crucial role in bridging the gap between communities and healthcare institutions by sharing stories that inspire trust and encourage people to access available healthcare services.

More than 20 local journalists and media representatives participated in the event and were given an overview of the hospital’s operations, healthcare services, and future vision. During their interaction, the media representatives visited different areas of the facility and acknowledged the availability of state-of-the-art medical infrastructure and patient-centered services being offered to the people of Gwadar and nearby regions.

The participants appreciated IHHN’s efforts in bringing advanced healthcare facilities closer to communities that previously faced challenges in accessing specialized medical services. They also expressed their commitment to highlighting the hospital’s key milestones, achievements, and success stories to further create awareness among the public.
