Chief Minister Balochistan Mir Sarfraz Bugti and Senior Provincial Officials visited IHHN-Managed Mir Ghulam Qadir Bugti Memorial Hospital in Dera Bugti

In a significant demonstration of institutional support for healthcare delivery in remote regions, the Chief Minister of Balochistan, Mir Sarfraz Bugti, conducted a formal visit to the Mir Ghulam Qadir Bugti Memorial Hospital managed by the Community Health Directorate (CHD) of Indus Hospital & Health Network (IHHN). The visit, which took place on March 21, 2026, focused on evaluating the clinical services and facilities provided to the local community. The Chief Minister personally inspected various departments and expressed satisfaction with the standards of care and the dedication of the medical staff, noting that the work of the management and frontline teams serves as a vital pillar for healthcare in the tribal area.

The administrative review continued on the subsequent days as the Deputy Commissioner (DC), accompanied by the District Health Officer (DHO), Dr. Azam Bugti, conducted an operational audit of the facility. During a technical presentation, IHHN management detailed the current patient load and the impact of ongoing health programs, followed by a detailed tour of the clinical departments. The delegation commended the team for maintaining high standards of cleanliness and clinical excellence in a remote setting. Furthermore, Commandant BMP, Syed Nasir Dogar, visited the campus and acknowledged the synergistic efforts of the government and IHHN management in ensuring that standardized healthcare is accessible to underserved populations.

The technical capacity of the facility was further strengthened on March 24 & 27, 2026, through the formal receipt of specialized medical equipment from the Government of Balochistan. The newly integrated assets include a digital ultrasound machine, a semi-automatic chemistry analyzer, a specialized X-ray unit, and an Aqua Vent high-flow nasal cannula with humidifiers. These additions are designed to enhance the diagnostic and therapeutic reach of the hospital’s medical services. During these sessions, it was also confirmed that Family Planning services have been fully integrated into the IHHN management framework to ensure continuity of care for the community.

The high-level visits concluded with an acknowledgment of the facility’s role as a primary provider of quality medical services in the region. The administrative support shown during these reviews highlights the collaborative commitment between the provincial government and IHHN to provide high-quality, free-of-cost healthcare to the people of Balochistan.
