Bringing Joy to Young Fighters: Zahran Children’s Foundation (ZCF) Supports Pediatric Oncology Patients at IHHN
Indus Hospital & Health Network (IHHN) extends its heartfelt gratitude to Zahran Children’s Foundation (ZCF) for organizing a fun-filled and meaningful event for pediatric cancer patients at the Indus Hospital, Korangi Campus.
Since 2021, ZCF has been supporting IHHN by covering the complete cost of treatment for children diagnosed with cancer. To date, 88 children with conditions including germ cell tumors, acute promyelocytic leukemia, B-cell acute lymphoblastic leukemia, acute lymphoblastic leukemia, Hodgkin’s lymphoma, Wilms’ tumor, retinoblastoma, and rhabdomyosarcoma have received support, and over 50 children have successfully completed their treatment.
The event also coincided with the birth anniversary of Zahran, the late son of Mr. Hassan bin Zahid, Director of Nadeem Textile Mills, and Mrs. Shafia Hassan, founders of ZCF, honoring his memory while bringing smiles to the children.
During the celebration, ZCF arranged a “Canvas Painting” activity for 100 children in the pediatric play area, providing an artist and art supplies to encourage creativity. Additionally, food boxes were distributed to 250 children, spreading joy and nourishment to patients currently undergoing treatment.
The occasion was attended by Syed Mashhood Rizvi, Dr. Ahsan Jamil, and Dr. Muhammad Fareeduddin, who praised ZCF’s continued commitment and the positive impact it has made on the lives of pediatric oncology patients.
Indus Hospital & Health Network is proud to recognize Mr. Hassan bin Zahid and Mrs. Shafia Hassan as ambassadors of its mission, whose generosity and compassion continue to bring hope, comfort, and healing to children and their families
