Indus Hospital & Health Network Honours Senior Journalist Mr. Haroon Rashid as Ambassador

Indus Hospital & Health Network (IHHN) is proud to recognize Mr. Haroon Rashid, a distinguished senior journalist, as an Ambassador of IHHN in appreciation of his continued support and advocacy for the Network’s mission of providing Excellence in Healthcare for All, Absolutely Free.

Mr. Rashid currently serves as the Managing Editor (Pakistan) at The Independent and has previously been associated with the BBC World Service. Known for his journalistic integrity and impactful storytelling, he has been a strong supporter of IHHN’s cause through extensive features, reports, stories, and podcasts that have helped raise awareness about the organization’s work and its impact across Pakistan.

In recognition of his valuable contributions, Mr. Haroon Rashid received the Ambassadorship title from Dr. Abdul Bari Khan, President, Indus Hospital & Health Network. During the meeting, Dr. Bari shared an overview of IHHN’s nationwide network and its ongoing efforts to expand access to free, quality healthcare. Mr. Rashid expressed his appreciation for IHHN’s work and pledged to continue supporting the cause and play his part wherever he can.

During his visit to IHHN’s new hospital building in Karachi, Mr. Rashid was accompanied by Mr. Fawad Bin Rashid, Senior Manager/Head of Media & PR, IHHN, and Syed Shabeer Hussain, Media Advisor, IHHN. He toured various departments, including Emergency, Wards, Blood Transfusion Services, and Family Medicine Clinics, where he observed the Network’s state-of-the-art facilities dedicated to serving patients free of cost.

By conferring this honorary title, IHHN expresses its heartfelt gratitude to Mr. Rashid for using the power of media to inspire compassion and amplify the message of accessible, free, and quality healthcare for all.
