Dr. Abdul Bari Khan Honoured as National Hero at Pakistan Health Care Summit 2025
Dr. Abdul Bari Khan was recognized as a National Hero at the 5th Pakistan Health Care Summit, organized by the Consumers Association of Pakistan (CAP). The award acknowledges his lifelong dedication and remarkable contributions to improving healthcare access for the people of Pakistan.
At the summit, Dr. Abdul Bari Khan was especially recognized for his role in establishing and expanding Indus Hospital & Health Network, Pakistan’s first paperless, free-of-cost healthcare system that now serves millions of patients nationwide. Under his leadership, the network has grown into a model of compassionate care, medical excellence, and innovation. His vision has transformed healthcare delivery, especially for underserved communities.
In his remarks, Dr. Abdul Bari Khan expressed gratitude for the recognition, stating that healthcare is a shared responsibility and reaffirming his commitment to ensuring compassionate, high-quality care for all.
The Pakistan Health Care Summit 2025 will take place on 20 September 2025 at Local Hotel, Karachi, bringing together healthcare professionals, policymakers, and civil society to discuss innovation, affordability, and patient-centered care.
