Dr. Amber Rashid

A doctor by profession Dr. Amber Rashid has been involved in establishing and successfully operating several businesses, both in the United Kingdom (UK) and the United Arab Emirates (UAE). Dr. Amber Rashid served as the director and co-founder of Glow Beauty Bar — a UK-based company — which developed a range of organic beauty products. While she was at Glow Beauty Bar, she grew the company from one outlet to 14 in the UK from 2004 to 2013. Since 2011, she has been serving as the co-founder and proprietor of Zebra Crossing, a specialized event planning, and management company focused on organizing and implementing customized and creative events for corporate and social clients in UAE. In 2019, Dr Amber joined King’s College Hospital, UAE as a Diretor of Preventive Healthcare. In this role, she is responsible for designing campaigns to raise public awareness for preventive screening, as well as developing and implementing screening protocols for preventive health at the hospital. Before coming on the Board of Director of the Indus Hospital & Health Network, she served as a member of The Indus Hospital’s Executive Committee in Dubai, assisting in awareness campaigns and fund-raising activities within the UAE. Dr. Amber Rashid has been deeply involved in philanthropic work since her college days. Over the last few years, she has been involved in community projects especially with those working towards creating health awareness. She worked with SEED Pakistan — a non-profit organization based in Karachi as a medical advisor. The NGO is focused on empowering the country’s youth through education, health awareness programs, and vocational training and managing social projects to improve communities in underprivileged areas. She also assisted in organizing and managing free medical camps for Volunteer Pakistan Association Dubai. Dr. Amber Rashid holds an MBBS (Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery) from Aga Khan University and an M.Sc. in Health Management from Imperial College London, UK. She also served as a Diplomate of the American Board of Internal Medicine since 2001.
