Fairways For First Responders: Fast Cables-Ihhn Golf Tournament Benefits Indus Hospital’s Emergency Care
A large community of golfers, including members from Pakistan’s leading corporations, came together to play Fast Cables-IHHN Golf Tournament 2023, on January 7, 2024, at Defence Raya Golf & Country Club, Lahore.
For the last four years, Indus Hospital & Health Network (IHHN) has been successfully organizing golf tournaments in Lahore, the heart of Pakistan, to raise funds for our owned hospital in Jubilee Town, Lahore – The Indus Hospital QF, NST & SMP Campus. We once again look forward to the generosity of the people of Lahore.
The annual flagship event has earned a significant commitment from the corporate sector and golfing community in Lahore to support IHHN’s mission of providing quality care, free of cost, to all patients in need. This year’s cause for the ‘Fast Cables – IHHN Golf Tournament 2023’ is Emergency Services.
Pakistan has an increasing need for a strong emergency care system as emergency conditions – acute cardiovascular disease, road injuries, and stroke – form the top 10 leading causes of death.
Across the Network, in its 4 owned campuses in Karachi, Lahore, and Bhong, IHHN benefits more than 330,000 patients each year through emergency services.
In 2021, IHHN established The Indus Hospital – QF, NST & SMP Campus, a 600-bed state-of-the-art multidisciplinary hospital in Jubilee Town, Lahore. Currently, we have initiated operations with 100 beds, offering outpatient services in Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, Pediatrics, Obstetrics and Gynecology, General Surgery, Day Care Services, and Orthopedics. Alongside, we’ve established a dedicated 27-bed emergency department, providing free and immediate life-saving treatment to patients not only from Lahore but also from the broader Punjab region. Notably, approximately 82% of the patients visiting our campus are eligible for Zakat support.
Dr. Abdul Bari Khan, President of IHHN, expressed his sincere appreciation to the Lahore golfing community, stating, “Your enthusiastic involvement and generosity play a crucial role in the success of the event, contributing to our mission of providing quality healthcare, free-of-cost. We are grateful for your commitment to making a positive impact on the lives of those in need.”
Mr. Syed Mashhood Rizvi, Executive Director of Communications & Resource Development Directorate, and Chief of Staff to the President, was also present at the event. He introduced the attendees to the ‘Indus Shakireen’ initiative, encouraging recurring donations to become part of an ongoing cycle of giving thanks to Allah (SWT), saving lives, and receiving blessings every month.
Senior Leadership of IHHN, including Mr. Abdul Karim Paracha, Chairman of the Board; Mr. S.M. Pervez, Director, Board of Directors; Dr. Tasman Ibn-e-Rasa, CEO, IHHN-North; Dr. Shafique Haider, COO, IHHN Jubilee Campus; and Ahson Tariq, Executive Director, CRD-North, were also present at the occasion.

In a short span of 15 years, IHHN has become a role model for many hospitals and healthcare providers. Indus is unique because it doesn’t just serve patients free healthcare, but it also gives personalized care with respect and dignity. This makes Indus stand out amongst many other charity hospitals.”
